A good year

What a year! We are very blessed to have strong support from our couples despite the poor market sentiments to emerge more experienced and with several overseas shoots in our belt. In 2009, we have covered shoots in Brisbane, New York, Rome, Florence, twice in Paris, 3 times in New Zealand and lovely weddings in south of Lyon in France & Bali.

Locally, we have stayed true to our style, to have fun, be creative and to make every shoot unique to the couples.

2010 looks like an exciting year. So far, we have confirmed shoots in New Zealand, Melbourne, Scotland, Paris, Venice, Switzerland and we look forward to offer our services in other cities as well.

Overseas Pre-Wedding – New Zealand Part III

This is the 3rd time I’ve travelled down to NZ for a shoot this year. Feel very priviledged to be able to shoot there again. Simply love the scenery and the fresh air there! : )

This time, Lee Teng and Szer Chin had to brave winds up to 80km/hr at some locations where I had problems keeping my camera steady. Even with the sun out in full and at 17deg, it felt colder than cold spell I just experienced in Rome. They are a brave couple!

Autumn in New York

Its such a beautiful season… and New York’s awesome this time of the year, with the whole of Central Park awashed with rich hues of gold, red and brown. We were very happy to have Maira for hair and make-up and she’s extremely helpful too, navigating traffic in Manhattan is not for the faint-hearted. Here’s a sneak from our recent shoot in New York.

 

This was the very same spot that Jason proposed to Wei Pei a few years back. He couldn’t have picked a better spot! : ) The light was special and I loved how Wei Pei’s eyes are affixed on him.

Birthday babies

These were taken few months back and they are super adorable, aren’t they… I mean the babies : ) They were both about to turn 1. Its fun to shoot babies and kids, you can be goofy, silly and do things you can never do at weddings. At the end of it, you can’t help but smile each time you look back at their images.

New York Bound

Dear friends,

Our studio will be closed from 26 Oct – 8 Nov as we will be away for a shoot in New York. We can still be reached by emails. Its been a very busy month and have hardly been posting.  Will certainly write more often in time to come and hope to show some images from the upcoming shoot.

Straits Times feature on overseas pre-wedding photography

We were very excited to be featured in an article in the Straits Times on 6 Oct 2009, Tuesday. It writes about the growing trend of couples here having their photos taken abroad and one of our couple, Jeffrey & Jaslyn, was featured in the article (and also their images!)  : )  Jeffrey and Jaslyn was our couple for the New Zealand shoot in August this year. Having fun….

Here are some images from my recent shoots.  We had fun! I was just trying out something lighthearted and informal than my usual. I like the shot of the couple snogging in the back seat while Zheng Han’s mum was driving them.

 

This is very funny and very real as well! Love how Ashe sticks his tongue out while Alex and Lynette were engaged in a ‘tongue fight’.

This shot below of Hendri and Mabel has got to be my favourite so far. Words just can’t describe it.

Paris Pre-Wedding 2009

Its a blessing to be shooting in Paris again and what beautiful weather we had. Here are some of my favourites from this shoot. Can’t wait for the next shoot in Europe. It’ll be Rome in December with room for either Paris or other cities in Italy. Due to the peak travel season, we will be closing the December (Europe) openings by 9 October.

Daryl and Sushi’s Wedding in Bali

What a journey I had with this couple… We started our first shoot in New Zealand then to Paris and its rounded off with a beautiful wedding in Bali. The day started off quite intensely with lots of sun and splashing around. The setting is just perfect; the sea, the breeze, the sun and the sound of waves crashing beneath the cliffs. The wedding planner behind all these is none other than Jonathan of Wedding Acts.

 

I really love the set up and the colours…. goes so well with the sky and the sea…

A man of few words but Daryl’s vows to Sushi were so touching… one of the best I’ve heard!

This is a first for me, bridesmaids throwing away their bouquets but what a way to do it!

This is a funny one. Noticed this guy ‘inspecting’ the wedding cake. (its a real cake btw)

The breeze blew the ashes and soot inland, its funny to see everyone shielding themselves and covering the glasses..

The party continued to the pools and with alcohol flowing freely for the night, you’d expect some really cool pictures. Here’s what I can show you only. This is a wedding I’ll never forget.
